Not yet. Granada is one of four Spanish finalist cities and the decision will be known in December 2026.
Official finalist Granada is officially a finalist for Spain’s European Capital of Culture 2031. 4 cities Finalists: Granada, Cáceres, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Oviedo. Spain + Malta Spain and Malta will each host a European Capital of Culture in 2031. 2026 decision Spain’s final selection will be announced in December 2026. Bid under revision Before the decision, bids must complete their dossier following the European panel’s guidance. 2027 budget The Consortium has approved a €1,042,852 budget to advance the bid during 2027.
