The 54th Volaera Flamenca de Loja is one of the province’s major flamenco singing contests: an August final in Loja, run by Peña Flamenca Alcazaba with singers from across Andalusia.
Volaera Flamenca de Loja has run for over fifty editions as a deep-song contest and prelude to the city’s main fair. Organised by Peña Cultural Flamenca Alcazaba, with support from Diputación de Granada and the town council, it draws singers from every Andalusian province after qualifying rounds that often span several weeks.
