Salobreña’s summer culture brings together Música en los Rincones, Tendencias Festival (Wim Mertens and Niño de Elche), Tropicalia Summer Music and patron saint festivities beneath the Nasrid castle.
Salobreña rolls out one of the Costa Tropical’s fullest July–August agendas each summer. The musical spine has three major dates: Música en los Rincones (free Thursday concerts in old-town squares), Tendencias Festival — 35th edition 29–31 July with Wim Mertens and Niño de Elche in Andalusian exclusivity — and Tropicalia Summer Music (30 July–8 August at the sports centre, with Ana Torroja, Amistades Peligrosas or a Héroes del Silencio tribute).
The town also mixes literature, flamenco, Salo Orgullo and neighbourhood fiestas. Castle and old town are the usual backdrop. Full programme at ayto-salobrena.es; many events are free, but Tendencias and Tropicalia need tickets.
From Granada city allow 45–55 minutes via the N-340/A-7: plan uphill old-town parking early on festival nights.
