Third Granada Sacred Music Festival (MUSAG), 1–24 October 2026: early and contemporary repertoire in city and provincial heritage venues. Linked sessions with time and venue from 10 October; official programme at festivalmusag.com.

The third Granada Sacred Music Festival MUSAG (1–24 October 2026) is the annual date that brings historical and contemporary sacred music to churches, monasteries, auditoriums and archaeological sites across Granada city and the province. There is no single venue: each session is published with place and time on the official programme at festivalmusag.com.

Capital dates already held in the first fortnight include Todos los Tonos y Ayres (“Hija de la Seda”, Villa Romana de Los Mondragones, 1 Oct) and Ensemble Arquivolta (“El Décimo Alfonso”, Royal Chapel, 9 Oct). The ensemble’s provincial leg has toured Alpujarra and Vega towns before the Churriana de la Vega stop.

Upcoming sessions linked on GRN URBAN (from 10 October 2026): Rubén García Benito’s lecture on sacred music and the Silk Road (10 Oct, 12:00, Ermita de San Sebastián); Todos los Tonos y Ayres in Churriana (10 Oct, 20:00); Anna Reinhold and Quito Gato, “El Jardín del Cielo”, on Sunday 18 October at 20:00 at Monasterio de Santa Isabel la Real; Íliber Ensemble, “Ardientes”, on Friday 23 at 20:00 at Auditorio Manuel de Falla (beside the Alhambra); and Juanjo Ibáñez’s closing lecture on Saint John of the Cross (24 Oct, 12:00, Ermita de San Sebastián).

This page does not state prices or free entry: the festival may mix paid tickets, invitation-only access or regulated entry depending on the venue. Confirm sales, capacity and conditions at festivalmusag.com before each performance. If you pair concerts with a visit to the Alhambra complex, also check our guide to official ticket channels.

01 Practical tips

Good to know

Keep venue name and time on your phone: MUSAG changes location every night. At monasteries and chapels, arrive early; capacity is often limited. The auditorium beside the Alhambra needs extra walking time from the centre.
