About the Event
Alégrate el Verano 2026 fills Motril with 100+ activities until 15 September: Cadena Dial, Moving Jazz, beach cinema, sport, flamenco patios and patron saint festivities on the Costa Tropical.
For the third year running, Motril city hall rolls out Alégrate el Verano: a July–August programme with 100+ activities across town and beaches. Concerts, summer cinema, beach sport, children’s workshops, urban events and patron saint festivities share an agenda built for locals and holidaymakers.
Music takes centre stage: Cadena Dial at Plaza de la Coronación (2 July), Patio Flamenco Festival, Moving Jazz, Dire Straits and El Barrio tributes, Paco Candela at the bullring, Marina Aijón or Mercedes Martín dance school. Summer cinema returns to Playa de Poniente, Playa Granada and Parque de los Pueblos de América.
The programme coincides with the new coastal path linking the three main beaches. Check the PDF and updated agenda at motril.es/agenda-cultura: dates and venues rotate weekly.
