Closing concert of the fifth Ciudad de Granada Plectrum Festival, with the Cuerda para Rato Orchestra (Segovia) and the Torre del Alfiler Plectrum Orchestra (Vegas del Genil) — Saturday 31 October 2026, 19:00, Manuel de Falla Auditorium, €12.
The closing concert of the fifth edition brings together two of the country’s leading plectrum orchestras. The Cuerda para Rato Orchestra, from Segovia and conducted by Jimena Pastor, performs a programme with Enrique Ulierte’s *Suite española*, Eduardo Maestre’s *Senda de los elefantes*, Yasuo Kuwahara’s *Steamy Steaming* and Ángel Pozo’s *Vengo de moler*.
The Torre del Alfiler Plectrum Orchestra, from Vegas del Genil and conducted by Antonio Moral, plays the *Zapateado* from Mateo Albéniz’s Sonata in D minor, Alessandro Marcello’s *Oboe Concerto in D minor* —with Wifredo Polaino as soloist— and Takashi Kubota’s *Tanzsuite no. 2*.
