The fifth Ciudad de Granada Plectrum Festival runs from 28 to 31 October 2026 across four venues: the Ángel Barrios professional music conservatory, the Faculty of Law assembly hall, the Palacio de La Madraza and the Manuel de Falla Auditorium. The closing concert is on Saturday 31 at 19:00.
The Ciudad de Granada Plectrum Festival holds its fifth edition from 28 to 31 October 2026, after being founded in 2018 by the Torre del Alfiler Musical Association. It brings together four concerts devoted to plectrum music —bandurria, lute and mandolin with guitar— across as many city venues.
The confirmed programme opens on Wednesday 28 at 19:00 in the assembly hall of the Ángel Barrios professional music conservatory, with the municipal choir and dance group and the centre’s own plectrum orchestra. On Thursday 29 at 20:00, Dúo Lyra (Marseille) take harp and mandolin to the Faculty of Law assembly hall. On Friday 30 at 20:00, Mari Carmen Simón and Pablo Rioja (mandolin and guitar) play at the Palacio de La Madraza.
The closing concert is Saturday 31 at 19:00 at the Manuel de Falla Auditorium with two orchestras: Segovia’s Cuerda para Rato and Granada’s Orquesta de Plectro Torre del Alfiler, from Vegas del Genil. Tickets €12 on redentradas.com.
